We take seriously the charge in Scripture found in Acts 20 : 28. take heed unto yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the Church of God which he hath purchased with his own blood. We endeavour as much as lies within us to minister to the spiritual, personal, emotional and physical needs of the Church. It is not a job to us, it is our calling, do we always get it all right, probably not, but we care and do our utmost
considering it our God given responsibility. We believe in relationships, and that leaders are the same in the eyes as God as the congregation it is merely their function that is different .
Ephesians 4:11-13
‘And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; ‘
We are individuals but together part of the body of Christ. The Bible teaches us that when one member suffers, we all suffer. It also tells us to do good, especially to those of the household of faith. Support comes in many
forms, practical, emotional, physical, mental just to name a few. We endeavour to support the whole person and make ourselves available to assist when approach but try never to encroach on a person’s personal space. We offer prayer support 24/7 and hold a weekly prayer service. We offer the opportunity for men to build relationships at our monthly men’s breakfast and likewise the ladies at their monthly supper. We assist Church members in need and the local community by means of weekly food care packages. Delivering to vulnerable families and pensioners in need of someone to just show they care. Many people with physical and learning difficulties find themselves not welcome in certain social groups so we host a very popular friendship group with indoor Curling for them. We aim to help families who want to worship in Church on Sunday by providing Sunday School for children 3+. After every service, we offer refreshments
free of charge.
