Stepping outside your comfort zone can be a big challenge for some, while others may dive in confidently. No matter which type of person you are, don’t let fear or hesitation keep you from what could be one of the most significant steps you’ll ever take!

At Bethany Family Worship Centre, we understand that visiting a church for the first time can feel intimidating, so we do everything we can to make our guests feel welcome and comfortable. You’ll be greeted by at least two friendly faces at the entrance, ready to assist you with any questions and guide you to where you need to go. If you’re running late, don’t worry—the doors remain open for at least half an hour after the service begins, and there’s seating at the back where you can slip in unnoticed.

Our Main Hall is arranged with rows of comfortable chairs, and everyone has plenty of space. There are no special reserved seats—everyone is equally valued here. There’s no dress code either—whether you prefer casual jeans or something more formal, come as you are. You won’t need to bring anything, and there’s no pressure to give, as we don’t pass around a collection plate. On rare occasions, we may invite donations for a specific cause, but that’s entirely up to you. Our goal is to live out the teachings of Jesus, showing love and hospitality to everyone who comes through our doors. We’re proud to be a diverse, multicultural church in a multicultural town.

Our Sunday service starts at 10:45 and usually ends around 12:45. You won’t need to worry about when to stand, sit, or kneel—there’s no set routine. Some people stand to worship, raise their hands, clap, or even dance, while others prefer to remain seated. Whatever your style, you’ll fit right in. The only rule is mutual respect (and we kindly ask you to silence your phone!).

We don’t use old hymn books—our musicians lead the worship, and the lyrics are displayed on a screen at the front. Many of our speakers also use the screen to share key points or scripture, which is especially helpful for those whose first language isn’t English.

After the service, we gather for refreshments, and sometimes we share a meal together, which is a great opportunity to meet people. There’s no cost involved—just like God’s love, we freely share what we have. If you’re interested in learning more about what we believe, we’d be happy to give you a copy of one of the Gospels (which focuses on the life of Jesus) in a modern translation.

We’re here for you, and we hope to welcome you soon!
