Foundations of Our Faith and Community Life
Without Faith it is impossible to please God
Hebrews 11:6
'And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.'
There are many ways we can demonstrate love, by looking beyond what we see with the eye. When Jesus looked at people He didn't look at there circumstance he looked at them. When we see with the eye we can minister according to what needs to be done if its in the power of your hand.
Proverbs 3:27
'Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thyne hand to do it.'
Look around at the personal needs of people, we've got to look at what we see with the eye. When Jesus drew near people he already knew there situation, but He engaged them at there level so they had a sense of belonging.
John 13:35
'By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.'
The most important thing about Spiritual growth is that your ear is open to the direction of God and if God can speak to your heart about a persons need, he can use you to meet the need.
Ephesians 4:11-12
'And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, '
They are all fundamental values that Christ demonstrated everyday in his life and we are to be as believers true imitators of Him.
Acts 10:38
'How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.'
