We are often asked about our stance regarding individuals who feel marginalized or rejected due to having views that differ from the perceived “mainstream.” Common questions include: Are we welcoming to those with disabilities? Do we accept people with different lifestyles or opinions? Do we harbor hatred toward specific groups of people?
The Church is not merely a building or an organization, but rather a global community of individuals who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Leader. As such, we hold firmly to His teachings and values, striving to live by them under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge that no one can fully meet the standard set by God. It is through Jesus’ sacrifice that the divide between us and God is bridged, and His love extends equally to every person.
“We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (Romans 3:22-23 NLT)
We understand that not everyone who visits the Church has made the decision to follow this path. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their status or views. We frequently embrace people who have faced challenges in life or hold different perspectives, just as we welcome those who may seem more conventional. All are treated equally, as long as there is no expectation for us to compromise the goals set by Jesus Christ.
Our deepest hope is for every person to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. Should this happen, we are confident that He will transform your life and being, shaping you more into His likeness. If this is what you seek in a church, we will go beyond simple hospitality to support and guide you. If not, there are other places that might be better suited to your needs.
On the topic of hate, we’ve noticed a concerning trend: some people have been misled into thinking that disagreement equates to hatred. This is simply not true. As Christians, we are called to love all people, and hatred has no place in a follower of Christ. Disagreeing with someone’s views does not mean we disrespect or hate them.
If you ask for the Church’s position on various topics, we will answer honestly, grounded in the teachings of Jesus. If our views don’t align with yours, that’s perfectly okay. We will never dismiss or disrespect you because of differing opinions. Jesus loves you just as much as He loves anyone else and desires to guide you toward a fulfilling life. He invites all to turn from self-reliance and trust in His leadership. That’s why, in our church, you’ll never hear us singing “I did it my way.” A self-led life often leads to unnecessary hardships, while His way is always the perfect path for us.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 NLT)
